Third Day

Third Day combines a heart for great music with a soul for ministry. They have played for millions of fans, garnered 25 #1 singles and numberous Grammy and Dove awards. Billboard magazine noted that they are "not only one of the best Christian bands of the '90s, but one of the best rock bands, period." Despite the accolades, Third Day is best known for their willingness to struggle openly before fans and critics alike. This identity, purpose and mission stand as Third Day's most valued accomplishment during its first decade together.

The band is influence by the Southern rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd and other artists such as U2 and Rich Mullins. Third Day was formed by vocalist Mac Powell and acousitic guitarist Mark Lee with the band completed by bassist Tai Anderson and drummer David Carr. In 2008 Third Day released Revelation with a live version released in 2009. Recently the band has been focusing on the Come Together Fund to raise support for grassroots charities around the world, with the most recent focus on the needs of Haiti.
